Foundation awards more than $14,000 in grants

The Foundation Prize Patrol on Oct. 22, 2021,  awarded $14,277 in grant awards.

The grant awards will be used for a variety of items including books, equipment to begin a podcast, t-shirts, activities for speech/language play sessions, and a drum set.

Superintendent Dr. Mike Slagle, Foundation Executive Director Jodie Huston, and Foundation Secretary/Treasurer Pam Steele made the surprise presentations, along with Foundation Board Members Mike Medsker, Cathy Wansing, and Jamie Bogner.

Grant for outdoor recess equipment

Timber Creek Elementary School 2nd grade teachers Lynn Noirfalise, Megan Hutchin, Jennifer Milligan (not pictured) and Sallie Davidson received a $685 grant to purchase additional outdoor recess equipment. Grant for neuroanatomy resources

Success Academy teachers Andy Perkins, Shaylen Boze, and Brian Borgmeyer received a $670 grant to purchase supplies to create a room to learn about neuroanatomy and manager triggers. Stonegate Elementary teacher Ashlie Renfro received a $310 grant to purchase a green screen for multimedia projects. Renfro was unavailable when the Prize Patrol arrived, so Stonegate Principal Carolyn Deane accepted the grant award.
