The Kansas City Cappies is a non-profit organization that celebrates high school theatre in the Kansas City area. A team of student critics from each high school is trained to write theatrical critiques. The critics attend shows at other schools and write reviews. These critics then vote for awards to be presented at the spring Gala. The Kansas City Cappies Gala is set for 6 p.m. Saturday, May 25, at the Folly Theatre in Kansas City.
