The Raymore-Peculiar School District is excited to announce the new Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) program that will begin in August 2024. The program will offer high school juniors and seniors the opportunity to learn to operate heavy equipment. Ten students are enrolled in the program for the 2024-2025 school year.
The program will be housed out of the LEAD Center. A building will be constructed on the Ray-Pec east campus - near East Middle School and the Ninth Grade Center. The location will provide a space for the equipment and open land for students to use as they learn to use equipment.
The program is being developed in partnership with the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 101.
