UPDATE: On Sept. 10, the boil water advisory was lifted. School operations returned to normal on Sept. 11.

On Sept. 7, 2024, there was a water main break at Hubach Hill and School Road. As a result, PWSD #10 has issued a boil order that impacts Bridle Ridge Elementary School and Ray-Pec South Middle School.

The boil order for Bridle Ridge and South Middle School is expected to continue through the school day on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

Classes will proceed as usual, and students will be able to use the restroom facilities. Sinks will be available for handwashing. Sinks and water fountains will be unavailable for drinking water on Monday and Tuesday. The district will have bottled water available for students to drink. Meals will be prepared using water from safe sources.

You can see updates about the water main break on the water district website: https://pwsd10cass.com/. Once the water district has lifted the boil order, the school district will flush devices in the schools before they are returned to use.
